1. This is our computed version
The Kundali shown in the app is Samskara Kula's own computed version. It is generated from astronomical ephemeris data using the sidereal (Lahiri ayanamsha) system to calculate planetary positions and the ascendant for the birth details you provide. It is produced by software, not by a human astrologer, and is offered for your reference and convenience only.
Different astrologers, traditions, ayanamsha systems, and software may produce different charts and different interpretations from the same birth details. Our computed chart is one such version and is not an authoritative, official, or professional astrological reading, and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified astrologer (Jyotishi) or priest.
2. Upload your own kundali
Because interpretations legitimately differ, you may upload your own kundali document (for example one prepared by your family astrologer) to keep alongside our computed version, purely as your private reference. We store it privately and do not use it in our calculations. Where our computed chart and your uploaded chart differ, your own trusted sources take precedence — our version does not override them.
3. Accuracy depends on your inputs
The chart is only as accurate as the birth details you enter. In particular:
- Birth time materially affects the ascendant and house positions. If you don't provide an exact birth time, the app clearly flags reduced precision and does not fabricate a time — but the resulting chart should be treated as approximate.
- Birth location affects the calculation; an imprecise city or coordinates reduces accuracy.
- We never guess or default missing birth time, Gotra, Veda/Shakha, or Kula Devata. Missing values are shown as "unknown", not filled in.
4. Muhurta and the ritual calendar
Where the app shows recommended timing windows (Muhurta) or ritual-calendar entries, these are informational and may be incomplete or unavailable. Samskara-specific Muhurta recommendations require interpretive judgement that is reserved for a qualified consultant; until that is in place, the app deliberately shows such fields as pending/unknown rather than presenting a fabricated recommendation. Always confirm any auspicious timing with your own priest or astrologer before acting on it.
